TORO PIKOPIKO PUPPETS have been creating and performing Te Ao Mฤori puppet shows since 1995. With funding support from CreativeNZ last year we began making children’s musical audiobooks adapted from the last ten years of creative output by Jeffrey Addison and Te Whaitaima Te Whare. Performed and narrated in English, with some te Reo Mฤori words, phrases and songs - Toro Pikopiko Tales Volume # 1 is currently being distributed globally by AudiobooksNZ. Volume # 1 contains 5 Mฤori creation stories about the exploits of our earliest Mฤori ancestors. This audiobook has now been uploaded for purchase and is available on many audiobook platforms and our own website https://www.akeeltd.com/audiobook-performedstories with volumes # 2 – 5 to be released on a monthly basis throughout the second half of 2021.
